Jeckra is a client-side development manager with an in-house architectural design team. We represent landowners, investors, operators and government bodies, steering a project from first idea to completion.

Jeckra's evolution.

Founded and led by Gavin Jennings, Jeckra began as a project management business. It has grown into a development and design practice that works entirely on the client's side, with its own architecture and landscape studio.

Every stage, from feasibility to completion, is run in-house, with design, development and delivery working together.

Site & feasibility

Site acquisition support, yield and massing studies, feasibility and financial modelling, JV structuring.

Design & planning

Concept and schematic design, DA package, planning strategy, consultant coordination, council liaison.

Approvals

Council RFIs, LEC appeal support, CC documentation, certifier coordination.

Documentation

CC and IFC drawings, specifications, NCC and accessibility coordination.

Procurement

Tender packaging, builder procurement, cost planning and BOQ review.

Construction

Client-side project management, contract administration, cost and program control.

Completion

Practical completion, defects, OC and certification, operator handover.

Gavin Jennings

Gavin Jennings

CEO and Managing Director

Gavin founded Jeckra in 2013 and built it from a childcare construction manager into a client-side development and design practice. He co-founded Futuro Early Learning and served as its chair, giving Jeckra an operator's view of what makes a centre work. He sets strategy, leads investor and JV relationships, and develops Jeckra's own early learning pipeline.

Daniel West

Daniel West

Director and Development Manager

Daniel has more than a decade of experience in construction and development management. His background in interior design and planning sharpens his strategic thinking and feasibility work, so he can test a site's potential early and steer each project toward approval. He leads site acquisition, feasibility, deal structuring and the development process for Jeckra's projects and its developer clients.

Nathan Johnson

Nathan Johnson

Director and Delivery Manager

Nathan runs delivery across the full lifecycle of Jeckra's projects, from DA through to Occupation Certificate and handover. His background spans construction project management and property development, with nearly 10 years' experience in childcare development. He leads design, procurement, contract administration, cost control and OC close-out.

Ameesh Kaul

Registered Architect and Design Manager

Ameesh is a registered architect who pairs strong technical knowledge with a sharp eye for buildability. He leads architectural design and documentation, from concept and DA through to construction.

Ellysé

Ellysé Mateer

Design Manager

Ellysé is a designer from the fitout and interiors sector, with particular depth in interior finishes that are as hard-wearing as they are beautiful. She leads Jeckra’s design and documentation, from first concept through to construction delivery.

Beau

Beau Carner

Project Coordinator

Beau is a project coordinator with a background in engineering. He supports the delivery team across Jeckra’s projects, helping keep programme, documentation and site coordination on track.
